FEATURES & BENEFITS

LAB-CERTIFIED SOIL

Our Lab-Certified Soil is comprised of Organic Compost derived from Grass Clippings, Wheat, Beneficial Microorganisms in the form of Mycorrhizea, Carbon and Amino Acids along with our Lab-Certified Media (Expanded Clay & Shale Rock).

We compost at 160 degrees and then add the Beneficial microorganisms (Mycorrhizea) that naturally colonize the compost as part of our process.

You will not find the following materials in our Lab-Certified soil mixture:

  1. No sludge (a.k.a. biosolids, the new buzz word for human waste).
  2. No peanut hulls (peanut hulls carry bacterial disease).
  3. No vermiculite, pearlite, or bark fibers.
  4. No peat filler (peat harvesting is not environmentally sustainable).
  5. No large particles or mulch like texture. Our soil is thoroughly composted and finished by screening for a fine-grained texture.
  6. No killer compost because the inputs were never treated with the class of persistent herbicides called pyridine carboxylic acids that contain picloram, clopyralid, aminopyralid, or aminocyclopyrachlor (Imprelis).

Organic humus compost has distinct advantages over regular compost and is the richest of top soils.

ORGANIC HUMUS COMPOST

As an organic humus compost, our  Lab-Certified Soil is the natural and safe way to build good soil structure. Organic matter helps reduce compaction, improve aeration, neutralize pH and increase nutrient retention [Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC)].

Our organic compost has a special ability to suppress diseases in container growing by introducing micro-organisms into the soil, which minimizes the need for harmful chemicals. Our soil also grows stronger, healthier plants which also minimizes the need for introducing unnecessary chemicals.

SUPERIOR MOISTURE RETENTION

SEA OF GREEN SYSTEMS' Lab-Certified Soil can hold 4 times the amount of water as compared to other products, providing the perfect medium to retain water and nutrients by providing superior CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity); the right amount of air to water ratio for roots to expand and thrive, allowing for increased yield via a healthy plant.
